ValkPoly+ screen installation proves itself in Spanish poly greenhouse thanks to successful collaboration

In Sant Andreu de Llavaneras, near Barcelona, ValkPoly+ was installed in a poly greenhouse belonging to Semillas Fitó, covering an area of 15,500 m². The installation was tailored precisely to the grower’s needs, who sought a reliable solution to optimally control the crop’s growing conditions. Thanks to the collaboration with Flora Green, the system was installed quickly and efficiently, making the project smooth and successful.

Account Manager Jari and Senior Project Manager Sander strengthened the collaboration with the client. Thanks to Jari’s fluency in Spanish, communication ran smoothly, while Sander oversaw the project startup and provided hands-on support to the installers. “I gave an on-site demonstration, and they quickly got the hang of the system,” Sander explains. “They had read the manual and worked efficiently: everything was picked up quickly and professionally.”

The project progressed from request to delivery in clear steps:

1. Request: The client approached Valk Horti Systems for a screen system.
2. Quotation: A quotation was prepared and presented to the client.
3. Order: After approval, the order was processed, and the materials were prepared and delivered.
4. Project Startup: Sander visited the site and oversaw the project kickoff.
5. Installation: Flora Green installed the system with support from Valk Horti Systems.

Sander emphasizes that his role went beyond just the project startup: “With a first-time installation, we don’t just provide explanations, but align the entire process with the needs of the client and the team.” He supported Flora Green with any questions and ensured that every step was clear. According to Sander, this approach helped build trust and ensured the process ran smoothly.

As the first collaboration with this client, the project presented a few challenges, such as obtaining the correct technical drawings, but these were quickly resolved thanks to flexibility and clear communication.

Sander points out that a new installation always takes some getting used to, but the installers adapted immediately. “After my demonstration, the Flora Green installers understood it right away. They found it clear, asked no questions, and showed they can work quickly and professionally.”

For every project, Valk Horti Systems sets up a dedicated Whatsapp-group for sharing photos, ensuring a structured execution and fast remote support. Sander emphasizes the importance of clear instructions: “Our manuals are visual and concise, so installers can understand at a glance what is expected of them.”

Although the screen system was new to Flora Green, the collaboration ran smoothly. Josep, an installer at Flora Green, is positive about the project outcome, the teamwork, and the clear communication. “We were very satisfied with the entire process. The system works well, the instructions were clear, and Sander’s support was excellent. Thanks to the new screen installation, Semillas Fitó can now better protect their crops.”
